Insurance agency marketing resources, written for producers

Guides, definitions and compliance notes for agencies that want their website to do some of the needs analysis. Everything here is written for agents and agency marketers, not for consumers.

The resources hub gathers the field guide (blog), the glossary, the compliance center, the FAQ hub and the needs-calculator-versus-quote-form comparison. Use it to plan where calculators go on your site, how to follow up on a calculated lead, and which rules apply to the way your agency markets.

What does the field guide cover?

The field guide covers lead generation, compliance, lines of business, CRM automation and agency operations. Articles are practical: how to place a calculator on a product page, how to build a HighLevel workflow from a webhook, how to open a first call with the prospect's own numbers.

Articles cite their sources with dates, and statutory figures appear only with the source and year beside them. When a rule changes, the article is updated and its date changes with it.

Where do I look up a term or a quick answer?

The glossary defines insurance and lead-generation terms the way agencies use them, from human life value to first-touch attribution, and links each term to the calculators where it appears. The FAQ hub answers questions on buying, embedding, leads, billing, privacy and compliance.

If you are deciding whether a calculator is worth it at all, read needs calculator vs quote form, which also lists the cases where a plain form is the better tool.

Where are the compliance notes?

The compliance center walks through TCPA consent, state licensing, Medicare marketing, ACA Marketplace agent rules, annuity suitability, advertising rules, privacy and website accessibility, with links to the regulators. It is orientation for agencies, not legal advice; your compliance contact or counsel has the final word.

Our own legal pages, including the lead consent notice and insurance disclosures, explain what InsuranceQuoteWidget does and does not do.

FAQ

Questions agencies ask

Answers first, details after.

Are the guides written for consumers or for agents?

For agents and agency marketers. Consumers meet the calculators on your website; this site explains how to use them in an agency. That is why articles talk about producers, X-dates and appointments rather than how to buy a policy.

Can I share a field guide article with my team?

Yes. Articles are public and can be linked freely, so you can send a producer or office manager straight to the one that covers the task in front of them, such as setting up a webhook workflow or reviewing consent language.

How current is the compliance information?

Each compliance topic links to the regulator's own pages, which are the authority. Rules for TCPA consent and Medicare marketing in particular have changed recently, so check the linked source and your compliance contact before relying on any summary.

Do you publish HSA limits or Medicare figures?

Only with the source and the year next to the number, and only when we are confident it is right. Where a figure changes every year, we would rather point you to the IRS or CMS page than risk printing last year's number.

Is there a guide to following up on a calculator lead?

The field guide covers it under lead generation and agency operations: how to read the inputs before you dial, how to open on the visitor's result, and how to avoid sounding like you are promising a price. Each calculator page also has a short talk track.

Where can I see what a webhook payload looks like?

On the integrations page, which lists every payload field and what it contains, and in the how it works walk-through of a lead's journey.

Can I request a guide on a specific topic?

Yes. Send the topic through the contact form. Requests from agencies help us decide which lines, workflows and compliance questions to cover next.

Is anything here legal advice?

No. The resources explain how rules generally apply to agency marketing so you know what to ask. Your state, your carriers and your counsel decide what applies to you.
