About

We build the math. You keep the license.

InsuranceQuoteWidget is a US software company that makes needs calculators for insurance agencies. We are not an agency, we hold no insurance license, and we have no interest in becoming the middleman between you and your prospects.

A stack of ruled policy documents with a red rubber-stamp mark, a brass paperclip and a green calculator

InsuranceQuoteWidget makes embeddable insurance needs calculators for US agencies and producers. A visitor works out how much coverage they may need; the agency receives the lead with those numbers attached. We sell software to agencies, nothing else: we do not quote, sell or bind insurance, and we do not sell leads.

Why we built it

Most agency websites ask a stranger to hand over a phone number in exchange for a promise: a free quote, a callback, a better rate. The visitor gets nothing until they agree to a sales call, and the producer who calls them knows nothing except that they ticked a box marked "Life insurance". Both sides start the conversation blind.

A needs calculator turns that around. The visitor gets something first: an estimate of the income their family would need replaced, the long-term care costs they might face, the income an annuity could produce. If they then ask to talk, the producer opens the lead and sees the inputs and the result. The first call can start at question five instead of question one.

We decided early that we would stay a software company. Agencies are licensed, appointed and accountable for the advice they give; a vendor that also sells leads or quotes policies is competing with its own customers. So our calculators estimate need and cost, the lead belongs to the agency that embedded the calculator, and pricing a policy stays with the agent and the carrier.

That choice shapes the product. Leads go to your inbox, your contacts and your CRM through a webhook you control. The disclaimer and the consent wording are yours to edit, because you know your state, your carriers and your compliance contact. And the calculators say "estimate" everywhere, because that is what they produce.

Principles

  1. A.

    The visitor gets value first

Results update as the visitor types, with no form in front of the math. Contact details are asked for only when someone wants to talk.

  2. B.

    Estimates, never quotes

Calculators estimate coverage need or cost. Premiums, rates and binding offers come from licensed agents and carriers, not from a website widget.

  3. C.

The lead belongs to the agency

A lead from your calculator goes to your account and your CRM. We do not route it elsewhere, share it, or sell it.

  4. D.

    Facts only, including about ourselves

No invented customer counts, ratings or testimonials. Statutory figures appear only with their source and year.

  5. E.

    You control the compliance wording

Disclaimers and consent language are editable, because rules vary by state, by carrier and by line of business.

Why isn't InsuranceQuoteWidget an insurance agency?

Because the moment we sold policies or leads, we would be competing with the agencies we serve. Staying a software company keeps incentives aligned: we earn a flat subscription, the agency earns the commission, and the prospect deals with a licensed professional who is accountable for the advice they receive.

It also keeps responsibilities clear. Licensing, appointments, suitability and advice belong to the agency. We are responsible for the software doing what it says: calculating correctly, delivering the lead, and keeping your data separate from every other account.

Why does a needs calculator beat a quote form?

A quote form captures intent with no context; a needs calculator captures intent with the prospect's own figures. The visitor has already thought through income, debts, existing coverage or care costs, and the producer can prepare before dialing. Read the full comparison, including when a plain form is better.

It is not a magic conversion trick. Some visitors will calculate and leave. But the ones who ask to talk have done part of the needs analysis themselves, which is the part of the call most prospects find slow.

What is InsuranceQuoteWidget building next?

More lines of business. Life, health, Medicare-age planning, income protection and annuity calculators are live; property & casualty, auto, business and specialty calculators have joined them. The calculator index shows what is live, and nothing is described as available before it is released.

The calculator interface runs in 2 languages today: English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Arabic.

What we won't do

  • Invent reviews, testimonials, customer counts or results
  • Sell, share or resell the leads your calculators produce
  • Quote, sell or bind insurance, or act as anyone's agent of record
  • Promise savings, approval, lower premiums or coverage on your behalf
  • Claim the calculators are compliant in every state; that depends on how you use them

FAQ

Questions agencies ask

Answers first, details after.

Who is behind InsuranceQuoteWidget?

A US software company focused on one product: needs calculators for insurance agencies. We do not publish a team page or a founder story, and we will not invent one. If you want to talk to us directly, use the contact page.

Are you licensed to sell insurance?

No. InsuranceQuoteWidget holds no insurance license, is not an agency, broker or producer, and does not sell, solicit, quote or bind insurance. The agency that embeds a calculator is the licensed party.

Do you sell the leads my calculators collect?

No. Leads from your calculators belong to your account. We do not sell, share or resell them, and we do not run a lead marketplace.

Why don't you show customer reviews?

Because we will not publish reviews or testimonials until real ones exist, and we will never write them ourselves. Judge the product on a free Producer account or a 14-day trial.

How do you make money?

From subscriptions. Every plan includes the insurance calculators, and agencies that need more calculators, webhooks or white-label pay a flat plan price: Agency at $150 a month or Enterprise at $210 a month. No per-lead fees, no commissions, no lead sales.

Do you work with carriers?

We do not represent any carrier, and the calculators are carrier-neutral. They estimate need or cost without referring to any carrier's products, which is why agencies of any appointment can use them.

Is InsuranceQuoteWidget only for the US?

Yes. The calculators, compliance notes and pricing are written for US agencies, in US English and US dollars. The calculator interface also runs in Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Arabic for US households who prefer them.

How do you decide which calculators to build next?

By line of business and by the questions agencies bring us. Every major line now has calculators; new ones follow agency requests. If a specific calculator would change your book, tell us.
