Medicare-age planning
The TPMO disclaimer is a statement CMS requires third-party marketing organizations, including many agencies and brokers, to use when marketing Medicare Advantage and Part D plans. It tells beneficiaries that the organization does not offer every plan in the area and how many organizations and plans it represents, and points them to other sources of information.
The exact wording and the places it must appear, including websites, calls and certain written materials, are set by CMS and have been revised in recent years. Agencies should copy the current required text from CMS guidance or their carrier's compliance team rather than paraphrasing it.
If an agency places a calculator on a page that also markets Medicare plans, the page itself needs the disclaimer. The calculators add their own estimate disclaimer, which the agency controls, but they do not supply Medicare marketing language. See the compliance overview for how responsibilities divide.
